Shaving brush fell apart .. damn
Hi guys
Mods - If this is in the wrong area please move it and advise where I need to put it
Hoping somebody has some tips on this problem
I have copied it from my post in Down Under forum
See below :-
Shaving brush fell apart ---- damn
I think the title tells the story
The brush is an Omega Badger Shaving Brush
The materials appear to be a chrome coated plastic collar on the brush handle
some kind of aluminium or similar for the rest of the handle
and the knot of coarse has a white plastic base - about 20mm diameter, depth about 10mm
So the problem now is what glue to use to fix the problem
When it first happened I did a clean up the Silastic that held it together
Yes you read it right - Silastic
There was a considerable gap between the brush knot and its seat in the handle
The silicone went about 1/3rd of the way down the gap - about 20mm depth
I am guessing the brush knot just sort of sat there held on by Silastic
I have tried Tarzan's Grip with little success - lasted 3 days
So now I want to know what glue will work would be best to fix the problem
Any thoughts or guidance much appreciated
