Rooney Genuine Silvertip Small, Style 2
I love every aspect of shaving, regardless of the which tools I use. And my favorite tool is the shaving brush! Here's my latest...

The Rooney, Style 2, Small Genuine Silvertip. It's not a big bloomer. This is what it looks like after one full week of exclusive use.

So I toss in a dollop of my Tabac shaving cream into the shaving bowl, and after about two minutes, I've got a brush that is loaded for bear(d)!

One thing I don't like is a brush that is "floppy". Well, maybe "moppy" is a better word, and while the Rooney does open up a bit to deliver the shaving lather, it does close up. This pic is after one pass. Unlike my Savile Row 208, it does not stay splayed open.

Here is the brush after two passes. As you can see, it is still loaded with enough lather to shave tomorrow!
The Rooney handle is a faux ivory with a light "woodgrain" texture appearance. The handle is 55mm, and the bristle is a 60mm knot. The handle is what attracted me to this brush. I like the "Simpson Persian Jar" style appearance. Unlike my Simpson Persian Jar, the bristles are a bit on the softer side. More density would have helped. Regardless, I have truly enjoyed using this brush, and while it will not be my "main" brush, it will certainly be in my rotation.
