Thanked: 0Sort of Odd Question: Feline Friends
So, I checked the forums and didn't find any information on this subject.
Having just received my first badger brush and wanting to make a stand for myself to keep out on the counter, I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with their pets, particularly cats, going crazy and tearing the thing apart.
I could possibly see my cats doing this.
Any thoughts?

My cat, he is named Rambunctious because he is, has never bothered my badgers and they are easily accessible to him.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I think it would depend on the individual feline. To be sure if you have and handles made of bone or ivory watch out. Cat's love to chew on the stuff.

Thanked: 79Cats respond well to negative conditioning. I suggest you give your cat a full-body shave, or perhaps just a trim around the edges, with the badger, your favorite soap/cream, and a well-stropped straight. Of course you may have to get creative in getting the cat to hold still... Anyway, afterwards your cat will look good, smell good, and best of all, will never come anywhere near the bathroom or your badger again!

I used to have a cat who would hunt anything that moved or even just sat there. I wouldn't have trusted him near a brush

Apocalypse cat.
Smell that? You smell that?
What?
Mitchell’s Wool Fat. Nothing else in the world smells like that.
I love the smell of Mitchells Wool Fat in the morning.
The smell, you know that fresh soap smell, the whole shave den, smelled like…....victory.
Someday this badger war's gonna end.............

My cat is indifferent to all of my shaving gear except my Speick shave stick. Whenever it comes out she comes running and starts sniffing around. She managed to sneak in and lick it a couple of times and tried to eat it once.

Thanked: 0Well, all joking aside, I'll just have to see how it goes. I think once I have my small stand built, I'll keep it on the bathroom window sill that's much higher and more "hidden" if you will, at least from normal cat prowling.
Also, oddly enough, I have a bone handle, and I've left my razor out on a towel right on the counter all day and night. Cats haven't even looked at it.
