Your call,I would never do it on a good S.T. tho.
I would never ever try it on a expensive brush, permanent hair color is strong stuff and would most likely ruin it.
Dye a cheap one for display and hide the good one... Kinda silly if you ask me though, but I guess it's a solution.... :)
In this day and age I'm sure with some knowledge of genetics you could engineer a badger to produce quality black hair or maybe cross a badger with another critter to get what you want.
You could cross a badger and a skunk to get a Bunk.
I would honestly stick to that rooney brush I pointed out to you on classicshaving.com it is even blacker then it looks in the picture, mine is by far the darkest I have ever seen compared to anyones brushes...i dont know what model it is but im sure the folks at classicshaving can tell you and certainly sell you just the brush :)
The blackest badger knots I've seen have been made with Finnish badger hair. They are a bit softer than Chinese black badger knots, don't know why exactly.
my brush I got from Target for $10 as my starter brush is still the one I use most days and is all black

Cooncat Bob (Bob's Razor Works) also uses black badger hair in some of his handmade shave brushes, you might want to contact him as well, he makes a good brush.
Just make sure you have the skunk's back feet off the ground when you catch him or you are really in for some fun !.........Tomatoe juice anyone ?
