Thanked: 3Blackest Black Badger Hair Shaving Brush
Hi Everyone,
I am looking for a really black badger hair shaving brush. I just really like the dark black colour. I don't mind what quality of the badger hair it is as I know the black badger hair is not as good as the silvertip.
I have purchased a black badger knot from The Golden Nib but I was wondering if there were any blacker badger hair brushes around?
It would be great if you could show some pictures and let us know where they are available from.
I really appreciate all the information you guys all post.
Thanks!

Thanked: 3Thank you for that information. I have had a look and it does look quite black. Do you know what particular model of Rooney Brush that is? I just wanted to purchase the brush and not a set. Thanks.

Thanked: 3Thanks for your replys. I am not really looking to dye the shaving brush. I don't think the dye would hold that well after repeated latherings and washings? I just wanted a really black natural badger hair brush. The metal pic is amusing but I'm more a designer type than a metal man. I just like the look of a nice black shaving brush!

This thread reminds me of a thought I had a few months ago. Would skunk hair make a good brush? If I'm not mistaken, skunks are fairly close relatives to the badger family. You could have both black or white brushes.

Thanked: 3Do you think a black hair dye will permanently dye a shaving brush? Could I risk it on a nice Thater brush? It would be good to have a nice black silvertip brush!
