Whipped Dog Knot
Whipped Dog has a silvertip knot (no handle) for $14. Looks good but looks can be deceiving. Does anyone have experience with the brushes on Whipped Dog?
I started with a Vulfix Pure Bristle and then added an Edwin Jagger Best Badger. I use both. The Jagger is comfortable but the smaller size of the Vulfix is easier to maneuver around the edges of my face.
I think I'd enjoy putting a slightly longer handle on the knot.

I can only speculate, but prices, sizes (knot and loft), and photos look like they are from thegoldennib.com.

Thanked: 13234Actually Larry gets them direct from overseas, he and I talked about it once, but there is a distinct possibility that the Golden Nib and Larry have the same supplier... That I do not know...

Having tried both extensively I will say that Larry's knots and TGN knots are comparable. Larry's knots have more backbone and Tony's softer tips. Both great knots.

As a footnote, for someone who likes boar and wants to try badger, Larry's knots are a great choice because of their backbone. The biggest difference in TGN and Larry's knot range is in Super Badger, Tony's have treated tips and tend to be overstuffed while Larry's are not. Larry's have, again, more backbone. It depends what you are looking for in a knot.
