No talk of money and services for profit allowed on the open forum. You can ask for advice no problem though.
Ohh! Sorry well advice would be nice or PM me for "$help$"
You should post a pic of the brush as it is now.
I'm looking at my first brush restore as well. Got a tip to vise the knot and twist - sounds simple and effective. Also a better option to try first than drilling. I saw a tutorial on drilling out the knot, but with porcelain, you want to tread lightly.
Anyhow, just take your time and read up if you get stuck. There is so much good info in these forums, you'll find what you need if you are patient. Good luck with yours.
It can be done, finding a new knot may be an issue.Do not use a vice or a drill with a ceramic handle.
So this one is the twin brother of the one i just got from ebay! They are twins except the one i got is blue and the hairs are all destroyed! I saw a guy in you tube doing a steaming method and it seems effective! I might try the same! I am afraid of the vise or drilling method

Btw! Thanks for the advices gents!
The knot is not set into the handle,it is set into a brass base which in turn is set into the porcelian..
No vise as in, no pinching the knot till it breaks loose ? Then what, soaking it in something till the glue is soft enough to yank it? Like acetone or lacquer thinner ? Would have to keep that off the paint though.
Ckout how this guy does it

Good one. Did you try it with your porcelaine?
I just finished up getting my knot out. I don't know if the steaming would have worked in that case since this older brush didn't have a glue knot really. It's like the bristles were glued directly to the brush without the knots I always see on the newer brushes.
I am still waiting for the brush to come in! I just purchased it!
So i did it!!! I took out the old knot with a drill and dremel and lots of patience! Here is the result!!!
Black pure badger! Feels great! Attachment 150929Attachment 150930
That turned out amazing!
Looks great!
Thanks! Btw... It smells like ...badger!!!! Lmao! I guess i should have wash it before first time using! I am really happy with it! All thou the loft is high... Since it is pure badger... It is stiff enough!
Really nice.
Great pairing of that knot with your handle!
