Here's a shot I posted for shave of the day. Some more flex than my usual brush but definitely a keeper - I like it. More knowledge to put under my hat :)

I really like it, the color and the 2 Band finest looks great with it, great job. I'm doing a restoration on 6 brushes right now for someone. I use a utility knife and cut the hairs down then use a forstner bit. One of the handles has a metal ring, I was able to save the top part of the ring, I lucked out. Then used a Dremel to clean it up. They're all getting 2 band finest.
That's a nice looking set up you have there and well done on the brush. Floppy or not, does it work for you and do you like it is the thing. I have no purpose to refute anyone else's opinion on this or to be unfriendly. However, I have some that are more soft and well, floppy also. I generally like a stiffer knot. I use to use small scissors to lightly trim them to a more desirable stiffness. Then I began to realize that if allowed even the soft and floppy ones work really well. So, if I were you, I'd use that thing and enjoy it. Because it is a manly thing to make or refurbish an item you use daily. And, that one is really nice looking.
