    Default Antler shave brush and friends

    Been busy out in the shop today. Had the Propane heater going, my insulated bibs on, jacket and wool hat.

    First time I turned antler, I've cut it, I've ground on it, and polished but never turned it. Here's what I ended up with...

    They look great, are they sealed in any way or is that necessary?

    The M3 I did seal with CA, it was really porous, the rest I will seal with an epoxy at the base. To be honest I really think that they will be fine around the smooth spots but the grainy porous area's I'm definitely going to seal.
    If someone has any recommendations I'd like to hear them. I was told taxidermist sometimes seal antler - so maybe some research is in order.
