Been making some brushes...
So, I have been restoring brushes for a few years now. Love that process of breathing new life into old discarded equipment of yesteryear. This is a familiar theme for us wet shavers. Recently, however I began to make my brush handles from scratch. I had some scraps of exotic wood and glued them together and without a lathe (or lathe skills) used my various shop tools to come up with something that I liked using a lot. I then began to experiment with other techniques and was able to use a drill press and a mandrel to actually turn a few pieces using rasps for shaping dowel blanks. It's not a lathe, but I got some good results I would like to share. Any constructive criticism is welcome.
