Search Google for shave brush replacement knot. You will find several suppliers.
Here's a place,,,,,,,,
Badger Hair Knots - Wet Shaving
virginiasheng on ebay (good quality from china) as well a Maggard Razors sells them as well.
The Virginiasheng knots are very good in the 2-bands. reasonably priced and they ship it fast for anything from China. All Badger comes from China nowadays as I understand.
You pay a premium for other's labor to perfect and clean it, I think. Hence, the high-dollar knot.
I have been most happy with the 2-bands from them and the Golden Nib in the past.
Use them most every shave.
Gotta clean them good, I think!
I use a few tablespoons of Oxyclean in a coffee cup. Drop the knots in. Fizzzzzzz
Repeat with one tablespoon.
Here is one of the knots before, and another after.
Some bloom going on! Helps to set the knot accordingly, IMO.
AND it's clean!

Just get one that don't shed....Good Luck with that. I've bought 3 custom brushes...great craftsmanship on the handles..but they shed like a coyote in June.
ok, good deal! found a few sources, whats the best way to secure the Knot into the handle? epoxy?
Thanks!
Perhaps I have been lucky. Never had a shedder with exception of my 2 Omega long boars.
I get a hair loose every few shaves.
Lots use epoxy. I use the goop you can buy about anywhere. No mixing, less mess.
Never had one get loose...Just have to wait 3 days for it to cure, thoughAttachment 271164Attachment 271165Attachment 271166
I have bought a few knots from Larry at Whipped Dog and have no complaints. I even have one of his ready made brushes that was given to me by a friend for a birthday present. Larry's prices are also very reasonable and if I'm not mistaken shipping is free for the US.
Thanks! Sharptonn, thats also a nice looking knot, where is that from ? if I may ask?
Thanks!
Shavemac D01 or D01-2 - simply the best knot you'll ever use IMO.
The first one is firm, great backbone and soft tips, the second is the same only lots of "scritch" - great scrubbing feeling on the face, great exfoliating feel to them, the D01-2 is my favourite knot.
Expensive - but superb IMO...
ok, Im new to the brush making thing so, TGN?
Thanks
The Golden Knot TGN....run ..run ..run away as fast as you can....iam a 3 time loser with them...shedding bad.....that was a few years back. Hey I still have the brushes...I use the as decorations now. Want to but them...cheap ..lol. I broke down and slid my money to the Simpson Polo 8 Super .....now there's a Brush !!
No issues with my old TGN knots. I still have a 26mm grade A silvertip from 2013 that is amazing. The ones up until about 2013/14 were very good. Then, Pixelfixed and I started to notice the quality had started to diminish. I have found the VS knots to be just as good as the old TGN knots.
As Phrank stated, Shavemac knots are of the highest quality. You will not find better. Don't over look the lower grades offered by them either. The pure and finest can be had at reasonable prices. Sometimes at the same price as these import Chinese knots.
Tom, I've switched to a similar product made by the same people as goop. I've been using the marine grade version. I've had a few knots in the past pop out, and I was using higher end epoxy too. Figured I'd go back to what the old boys use to do and set them in rubber. :)
I had a knot come out once & I put a dab of 3M 5200 on the back, set overnight & it has held great.
Goop is rubber when it's set, is it not?

Has anybody tried any of Elite Razors knots?
Anything to report?
Premium Knots | Elite Razor
Elite knots are Excellent !!
I have gone through a pile of knots over the last year or so and I would say they are the best knot you will find under $100. The Manchurian white is a great knot. Here is one I kept for myself. Attachment 273288
The dry pic is after two uses.

Heres a 26mm Fan.
sorry
, they upload sideways ?!
My pics do the same thing.
No idea why.But I use a phone maybe that has something to do with it?
Is that knot pre-bloom?
That is one sharp looking handle!
Did you make it?
Yes I made that one, 5 layer Alpolina/black .
Yes that is pre bloom on that one, and right around 50mm. They are nice knots.
The phone/pic thing is killing me, anything I try to post from the phone is always like that, probably a setting I don't know about that needs me to click a box somewhere. hahaa
