Ok, so where do you get the knot?
This has got me curious and thinking I may want to try my hand a making a brush or two. Since Im not into trapping and skinning Badgers or other critters, where con you buy the bristle material from?
Thanks!

The Virginiasheng knots are very good in the 2-bands. reasonably priced and they ship it fast for anything from China. All Badger comes from China nowadays as I understand.
You pay a premium for other's labor to perfect and clean it, I think. Hence, the high-dollar knot.
I have been most happy with the 2-bands from them and the Golden Nib in the past.
Use them most every shave.
Gotta clean them good, I think!
I use a few tablespoons of Oxyclean in a coffee cup. Drop the knots in. Fizzzzzzz
Repeat with one tablespoon.Last edited by sharptonn; 08-14-2017 at 02:55 AM.

Here is one of the knots before, and another after.
Some bloom going on! Helps to set the knot accordingly, IMO.
AND it's clean!

Just get one that don't shed....Good Luck with that. I've bought 3 custom brushes...great craftsmanship on the handles..but they shed like a coyote in June.

Perhaps I have been lucky. Never had a shedder with exception of my 2 Omega long boars.
I get a hair loose every few shaves.
