I have bought a few knots from Larry at Whipped Dog and have no complaints. I even have one of his ready made brushes that was given to me by a friend for a birthday present. Larry's prices are also very reasonable and if I'm not mistaken shipping is free for the US.

Shavemac D01 or D01-2 - simply the best knot you'll ever use IMO.
The first one is firm, great backbone and soft tips, the second is the same only lots of "scritch" - great scrubbing feeling on the face, great exfoliating feel to them, the D01-2 is my favourite knot.
Expensive - but superb IMO...

Thanked: 2284No issues with my old TGN knots. I still have a 26mm grade A silvertip from 2013 that is amazing. The ones up until about 2013/14 were very good. Then, Pixelfixed and I started to notice the quality had started to diminish. I have found the VS knots to be just as good as the old TGN knots.
As Phrank stated, Shavemac knots are of the highest quality. You will not find better. Don't over look the lower grades offered by them either. The pure and finest can be had at reasonable prices. Sometimes at the same price as these import Chinese knots.Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

Thanked: 2284Tom, I've switched to a similar product made by the same people as goop. I've been using the marine grade version. I've had a few knots in the past pop out, and I was using higher end epoxy too. Figured I'd go back to what the old boys use to do and set them in rubber.
