Traitor!:nono::gwh:
Who's a traitor, Tc? So. How many aluminum Rubbersets you got now?
:rofl2:
So Tom (Learner) turned a plastic plug to mount the knot into.
He can unscrew it and remove the whole thing.
Interchangeable knots? :D
IIRC, it is sized and tapered at the bottom so as to fit right.
Great job. Gotta pic, or should I search for it?
Pete is the traitor, he used a synthetic knot in that handle!!! oh and I have 2 one gifted from Richard, and of course one from you, and I had a Shavemac put in mine. that Pete crossed the line, wait till I see him again :mace:
Geez Tc,
First, I have been changing all my knots to synthetic Tuxedo knots.
Obie turned me on to these, and I love them. They really work for me.
Why??? ...I have really hard water with a very high iron content.
It turns everything orange. The wife even has to take her whites to my daughters house to wash.
All my badger brushes are orange and starting to deteriorate from exposure to this water.
The badger knot has pourous bristles and absorbs the iron.
The synthetic bristles aren't pourous and don't absorb anything or turn color.
The top dog brushwise that I have is a Shavemac 2 band that is now orange.
I just couldn't justify spending the money for a Shavemac knot and putting it through the "orange water" torture.
I did mount the synthetic knot so it is easily removeable.
Believe me, when and if we move to a place with normal non well water, I will go back to all Shavemac in a heartbeat.
I didn't know this made me a bad guy??
Pete <:-}
You are good, Pete......Tc needs to go take it out on his boys! ;)
