Thanked: 2284Another coloured veneer brush.
Here's another veneer brush I finally got finished up. I finished this one with the old Sharptonn rim clearcoat. After many, many coats, and me being ultra fussy with how it looked, I was finally able to complete it. Took way longer to do the finish than it did to actually make the brush. I find this spray drys really quickly, but stays soft for quite some time. So after at least 10 coats and many days of drying, I stuck it back on the lathe, gently wet sanded it with 2500 grit and then polished it out with my regular polish I use on all my acrylics. Following that I gave it 2 coats of liquid glass car polish, allowing a full 24 hours in between those coats too. Makes for an awesome glossy finish, and I believe it should be much more durable than CA. CA is very hard and very brittle, where this is softer and will likely be more durable.
Enough blabbing....
The brush with a 24mm tuxedo synthetic.
Missed taking pics of the spraying process. Sorry, but here's it after both polishes.
Thanks for checking it out Gents.Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....
