Brush repair

Nothing ground breaking just like to share a couple pictures. 26mm silvertip classic brush suffered two drops on a tiled floor. Second drop a week after the first knocked the knot out. It came out pretty clean with only a small corner of the knot's epoxy plug chipping off. No worries some marine epoxy and away we go. I was a bit surprised how little epoxy was originally applied. I decide to chisel out the old epoxy in an attempt to get the knot set lower/ choke up on the bristles to give them a little more backbone. The width of the knot just above the epoxy plug tended to spring the knot out of the hole.... So I....

What the hell I thought its already broke, it's only hair, I sleep on my hair every night and it pops back no problem. After the 2hr set time and working the brush on my hand for 5min it looked like this....
I know it will work out completely after a few goes with the Mitchell's wool fat.
