Out Junkin today, found a couple 20mm antiaircraft shells, the friggin primers were still intact:( killed them, cut the shell down, made a plug out of lignum, left some patina on the caseing,is what it is.

" the friggin primers were still intact "
Now there is a prep that will blow you away.
Wonder if it would make it through TSA in carry on ?
Almost forgot...That is a cool brush.

Pixelfixed; You use nitroglycerin soap with that brush?
If so, make sure the hairs are really really soft....

Primers are 100% DOA,brush is not my cup o tea but somebody had to do it:)

I made one today in anticipation of giving it as a Father's Day gift. We're a big shooting family. I made it out of a monster 20mm anti aircraft cannon. I have a picture of it next to my full size 9mm handgun (the shell is almost as big as the gun) and compared to various cartridges including .22, 9mm, and .223.

I took one look at your 20 MM shell brush and was overcome with a flood of memories. You see, my father (CMD.USN, ret) was the project manager for the Phalanx Anti Aircraft CIWS in the early 70s. As a kid, my brothers and I had some of those shells around the house during that time. He retired from the Navy in '75. The Phalanx is installed on every class of surface ship in the USN fleet.
Very cool brush. Attachment 204138
