July 2020 Giveaway!

The July 2020 Giveaway will start now and run thru Midnight on the 13th. On the 14th, winners will be chosen and the Winner's Thread will be started.

First Place:
1. Starting off with a fine Japanese S.R., NHK, Home Steel' Use. French point, hollow ground, 13/16 in size.
I have not shaved or honed this one as it was sent to us "Shave Ready". The winner will have to find out for themselves how shave ready it is. But its a fine looking razor anyone would love to have in a collection.

2. A tub of CBL Premium Shave Soap. "Santa Fe".
This is a Hemp soap meaning it has Hemp oils added, but I don't think it will change your mood as other hemp items will.

3. Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements, Atomic Age, Bay Rum. 100ml Aftershave.
This has been vacuum-sealed in plastic which was a great idea of the donor. So my guess is its a new bottle. Never opened.

4. New, Synthetic Omega brush w/ Chrome colored handle. A great handle shape for sure.



Second Place:
1. A Wade & Butcher S.R. The etching on the blade says "You Lather Well, I'll Shave Well". 11/16 at the widest point and near wedge. Plastic scales.
This razor has some harsh hone ware and the bevel is not straight. The signs of a Sheffield Grind for sure Lol. So I did NOT want to mess with this edge as I may have made it better or worse. So I left this one alone. The winner will need to test and do what he feels is right for this blade, if anything.

2. Gillette DE Razor. Butterfly style, First Gen.
The handle on this one is different from those I've seen or used so I can't swear to its age. No date code. But it is in fine shape.

3. DE Razor Blades.
A 5 pack of Bic Chrome Platinum Blades, Plus a 5 pack of Astra Superior Platinum Blades.

4. Tub of CBL Tonsorial Shave Soap, "Insurgent".
This is one of his soaps made with very few ingredients.

5. Ever-ready 500n Nylon Shave Brush.
Very Synthetic!
