    Default Need your Prayers

For those who pray I´d like to ask you to add this to your list if you will.

There´s a custom bike shop just a few miles from my house. The owner and his main mechanic are really good at what they do. I´d compare them to OCC in quality and skill. I´m trying to get them to allow me to work for them for a while with the hopes that they´ll eventually want to hire me on full time. I´ll still do the computer stuff as it comes up, and always the juggling and selling stuff on ebay, etc. but this will give me work in an area that I love, custom building awesome bikes. I figure if I gotta be poor I might as well enjoy what I´m doing.

    Thanks for the support.

Good luck -- what kind of skills do you have that will be applicable --what kind of background? Maybe you can start your own shop one day. I don't own a bike but I find the whole fabrication thing interesting --something about the steel -- the cutting, burning, and welding of steel. I've done my fair share of welding and enjoy it. I don't know much about the culture of building choppers, but it seems like there's been an explosion in the number of custom shops and just general exposure over the last 5 years. Maybe one day we'll see people riding a Glen F. series (ie. the FUD). Take care,

During my younger years I worked as an apprentice mechanic for a ford dealership. I´ve also done mig and stick welding both aluminum and heavy steel fabrication. Additionally I´ve got some experience doing electrical wiring in autos.

Unfortunately for this, I´ve spent the past 12 years working and studying in the computer industry.

The shop manager sounds interested and is supposed to get back to me Tuesday or Wednesday next week. I´ve already got a design for a cool SRP bike .
