left hander group.

I want on this train as an honorary mention. I broke a bone in my right hand last year and became a solitary lefty for about 4 months. Not only for those but I still do a lot of things lefty. I play disc golf and still throw quite a bit lefty. Still take notes lefty from time to time. Never went back to putting my wallet in my right pocket, only left now. And I shave just as equal lefty as I do righty. Either way I have love for you all. My brother is a true lefty, both best friends are lefties, and so is mother in law. Hopefully I can teach my kids to use right and left equal.

I didn't know people shaved with anything other than left hands.

I feel fortunate that I have always been able to shave ambidextrously.

None of the aspects of a shave give me any trouble with either hand.

I'm a lefty, but I do shave with both hands when using a straight, always left hand with anything else.

I guess we as lefties have always had to adapt to right hand tools. I don't have any particular left hand tools I just use a right handed tool my way. However I once had a left-handed screwdriver which I liked very much :)

I did enjoy being a lefty when I used to box, it was always a surprise when I switched to my truly dominant hand for the poor fellow on the other end and also it was a definite advantage in fencing, as back then there were very few lefties competing so again a surprise for the righty. Great to watch a righty get up tighty… lol A great way to climb the rankings for sure.

In the club I trained with in sword play, we trained using first the right and then the left so that we could used the weapon ambidextrously. It was a lead up to using paired weapons like Rapier and Main Gauche/Buckler etc.

I started off doing that, then moved on to a Renaissance Spanish duelling club. Very different to the Italian (Olympic) style. Both were very much fun.

I really enjoyed fencing for many years until I tore my meniscus and had surgery. My lunge was never the same again without alcohol included… :)

I am a closet lefty forced by society to be a righty.

My eldest girl needed help with some homework last week and came over to the couch where I was sitting reading. She pointed out her problem to me so I proceeded to write down some examples to help her out a bit. I was using my left hand to write (I had my book in my right hand) and she said, "Daddy you are supposed to be writing with your right hand! We're a right handed family here you know?!" This statement was followed by me giving a lesson on the meaning of the word 'Ambidextrous'.
