On Vacation
Hello gentlemen. I am currently vacationing in Santiago, Chile, staying with milady`s family. There won`t be as many posts coming from me but I will respond to the PMs if you need me and maybe post a few pics here.

Thanks Lou. Here`s a short rundown. After a few delays, I arrived in Santiago safe and sound. We already went to the festival of "no sé que"
which turned out to be the festival of indigenous art and culture. They had a couple of bands blasting tunes with traditional instruments, mostly from up north. The dancing that the regular crowd did to the tunes was something out of this world -- bent forwards, wide stance and a sideways shuffle, that you`d see in realistic tribal gatherings. Reminded me of our First Nations pow-wows but with much better/livelier music. Completely natural and unrafined. I can`t wait to see what`s next. Too bad we left the camera at home.

Ilija,
You have to go to one of those market days. I saw one in Valpariso. A good part of the town was an open air market. In the States we generally call these things swap meets. Much bigger than Dubrovnik.

Too bad they had some sort of a gas explosion in Valpa. On a good note, we did bring a camera when we went on Teleferico.
