I went to France on a school trip a few decades ago, and visited one of these memorial places. All I can remember is peace and tranquility... and the fact that there were a couple more of the memorial places across the road. Same size.Quote:

Yea, similar experience visiting a Canadian and a German war cemetery in Holland years back. The young ages on the crosses, the sheer numbers and the utter waste of young lives.
