There is one important rule though - the feedback shouldn't be solicited or compensated for in any way. Not that we can enforce it 100%, but if we catch somebody doing it the consequences may be unexpectedly harsh.

    Bob,

To my experience, the Classifieds don't seem to be to active with new inventory on the market or new advertisers.

I've gone to the Classifieds time and time again when in search of something in the forums and I've seen the same posts again and again.

This is just my experience. I'm glad you raised the subject. It's completely unfair to compair SRPs Classifieds to another site we're all familiar with, but, that is where I feel most people look first.

    Regards,

    Simon

I'm guilty of not providing it,,,,, I just never think of it. I didn't know there was a "feedback" for our classified section until a member told me a little over a year ago.

Gugi question: Am I able to go now & provide feedback for guys that I've bought from over the years?

Really? I did not know that you could provide feedback in the SRP Classifieds? I'm pretty diligent about leaving it on eBay, and have had only 100% positive experiences from the Classifieds here.

Thanks - will absolutely do so in the future.

Well, those ads are already completed and expired, so I'd say it's better to do it going forward.

The point is that SRP is a community not a marketplace - we may even turn off that feedback at some point - it seems to me that the more important feedback people should be looking at is not from the stars in the classifieds, but by the participation on the forum.
But as long as it is available it should be used as the buyers decide.

Maybe we need a giant neon feedback button in our classifieds,,,

The issue that I had in the past was that by the time I received my item, the ad was long gone and I had a really bad time trying to leave the feedback. Perhaps there are some easier to leave feedback improvements we could make. That of course is the royal we.
