For me wearing gloves is like try to sew with boxing gloves on. I don't even like wearing them when welding but do for obvious reasons sometimes. I do have about 8 pairs scattered about so I can grab them when I want. All leather and 3 different thicknesses but they have to fit tight or they might as well be pot holders. 1 special pair in case I want to challenge someone to a duel :<0)

I'll look for the black. I've had the same issue you (Hirlau) have had with the Curad Blue...either the finger tips hang off like your picture or they rip trying to yank them down my fingers. Sometimes I let them hang loose especially for cleaning guns, since it's not fine work.

Yes, finding the black Grease Monkey gloves at Home Depot has solved the finger tip issue.

I buy a 3 pack of these each year about Oct 1st, one pair out by the Woodpile, one pair in the Truck, and one pair on the Tractor...

Uline has some nice heavy duty Nitrile I use in the shop and those super thin super cheapos for doing CA finshes :)

I wear gardening gloves - just whatever I can find as I wear the fingers out pretty quickly. My brother in law works as a stores manager for a mining company and he can get me, on occasion, nice leather work gloves a bit like those yellow ones Jimmy posted.

I wear cotton inners (cheap 3 packs from the supermarket - I go through them a bit) when I spar, and my gloves of choice are Magnum - cheap and light, offer reasonable protection while still being kinda tactile - I like to feel the cheekbone shatter when I hit it, if you know what I mean.... :p
