Thread: Happy birthday, to me..

Just lit up a Jose Piedra to go with my sapphire martini as I reflect on a lovely 49th birthday celebration with my immeadiate family.
My daughter, 22, musician, bought me a few old razors with what look like bone scales
An Oxford, from Germany, a Pearcy "the ring" from?? And a "Blue Steel" also from Germany.
My son gave me a piece of curly maple, cherry, and pair of red oak slabs, as well as a bottle of Dark Horse, Alberta whiskey. .
The wife gave me a kanayama #3 strop, and the above mentioned children, as well as a few kisses on my freshly shaved mug.
I am a lucky, lucky man..weird though how birthdays change as we age..focus shifts and kids grow....
Switch from making sure the kids don't get in the way, to sharing a drink with them...
Getting to know some of you fine gents, both virtually, and in person at the GTG's has been purely the icing on the cake as well. Helped me learn this craft, sharpen the tools of this craft, and avoid purchasing damaged refuse from those that don't respect this craft,
All told, a good day..
