By the way it was Welk's birthday just a few days ago.

My grandparent watched this show every week. i am convinced that it was my grandmother driving that because if you had looked at my grandfathers record collection, it was all classical music with a heavy emphasis on Beethoven and Chopin. I guess a man had to put up with a lot of stuff when he married a younger woman even back in the day. LOL

This reminds me of when the Republicans were using Born In The USA as an anthem. They didn't quite understand that song either.

My mom and dad would watch this show. Me and my brothers and sisters HATED it but watching this clip......yup still hate it. Lol. Carol Burnett and hee-haw were great though.

Wow, Hee Haw: Jr. Samples, Grandpa Jones, Stringbean, Roy Clark, Buck Owens, Minnie Pearl. My parents liked country and western music so we never missed Hee Haw.
