So a few weeks back I was in Niagara Falls with my girlfriend. Wonderful time we had together for our anniversary. While on Clifton hill I noticed some tourists with an odd looking stick, taking pictures of themselves. "Oh my God" I said to my girlfriend "What has this world come to." It was a selfie stick. Selfie's in my opinion are horrible, I know my girlfriend likes to take them and have even seen guys at the gym taking them. I shake my head and face palm.

It's not that people shouldn't be happy with the way they look and have a few pictures of themselves or enjoy looking in the mirror. I am guilty of that sometimes. It's the stupid faces and/or poses that come along with selfie's that bug the crap out of me. I also dislike when you can see the cellphone in the persons picture.... the dreaded mirror selfie's. I am not saying people who take selfie's are a different breed doomed to a fiery eternity down below. It just saddens me that they have nothing better to do then make a duck face in the mirror and take a picture of it. There is a world searching for a cure to cancer, a way to stop climate change, a beautiful piece of wood waiting to be turned into a carving, a canvas without a painting. The list goes on and on. I guess I have ranted a little but it is one of my pet peeves.

Final point is if you really want a picture of yourself are the days gone when you asked a stranger to take a picture of you?

What are your thoughts on selfie's guys? Very interested to see what the SRP community has to say about this.
