Default Dr who fans, minyons and minions.

Could Dr Who's minyons (creatures from minyos) have been the inspiration for despicable me's minions?

I'm a huge Dr. Who fan, like the new series, my favorite Dr. Who is Tom Baker, used to watch it all the time as a kid....

Definitely can see the resemblance between the two, great source of inspiration.

The real question is, " Is a minion related to an onion or is a minion kin to a tater tot?

The original dalecks in the original Dr Who movie were awesome in their scariness.

Huge fan also, but my favorite is David Tennant (I started watching when they revived it in 2005). Then I watched old episodes on Netflix and Tennant's style seems strangely similar to Baker's. Turns out Baker was Tennant's favorite Doctor.

    Cheers.

For me, Baker remains the only Doctor.
