Aging gets a bad rap....for some good reasons which most of us know by now, either through direct experience or knowing those close to us who have reached a certain point (definitely not a fixed point). But some funny things happen when you age also...like a week or so ago I was accompanying my sidekick to a clinic for an MRI. We get almost to the elevators and I notice there is a large lump in my right calf. I reach down to feel it and realize it is a pair of underwear. When I hung up the jeans on a hook I hung up the underwear with them and they slipped inside the pants. I tell Ladygirl I think I have to hit the men's room before we go up for her appointment and I go in a stall and extract the extra pair I had with me that day. I wait until the coast is clear and drop them in the trash and cover them with a couple of paper towels, carry on to the MRI (negative) and wonder what the future will look like.....next time will I just walk outside in my underwear and forget my pants?
