Real Life Vignettes to Share
I recently started a Pet Peeve thread. Venting is necessary IMO.
I wanted to counterbalance that thread with a thread where we can share positive affirming real-life experiences we've had that show the beauty of humanity.
I witnessed such an experience just this morning:
I try to take a brisk one hour walk each weekday instead of taking lunch (I dine Al Desko):
I took my walk around the neighborhood early this morning to avoid the afternoon heat and humidity There was a house that had a beautiful sour cherry tree loaded with ripe cherries in the front yard. There was a young woman with long blonde hair kneeling at the foot of that tree with her young daughter, a toddler, clinging to her back as the mother was reaching far to gather cherries from the ground. I smiled at the little girl who looked up at me with her big eyes and smiled in return. I turned to look back at the scene to burn it into my memory and saw the mother cuddling and embracing her daughter, lavishing her with hugs and kisses.
Profoundly powerful brief moment. The tree full of fruit, the woman kneeling in her knit dress (A woman's figure IMO is one of the most beautiful sights to behold), the love of a mother for her child and the precious moment they shared that I was fortunate enough to witness. They will always remember that cherry tree. As will I. Priceless..."Blues fallin' down like hail." Robert Johnson
"Aw, Pretty Boy, can't you show me nuthin but surrender?" Patti Smith
