Oratorically he certainly isn't Fidel Castro, but the reports have always been that he's been far more involved in preparing his speeches than he has to be, or that most of his predecessors have been.
The audience seemed to love it, though, and I think that's far more important than what the rest of us who have no relationship to that community can say.
It's still disappointing to see that even a well written and well received eulogy can be used to express one's dislike for a particular politician. I hope you never get to experience this kind of treatment at a funeral that matters to you.
