Hi All-My wife and I have had ATT landline and DSL internet service for years. For months now they have been robo-calling me and sending mail offers trying to get me to upgrade to U-Verse, which would combine phone, internet, and television in a fiber-optic cable system. It sounds tempting, but I have read some pretty horrific reviews on-line. On the other hand, I have talked to some people personally who love it, so I'm torn. My wife and I both rely on the internet for nearly every task now as teachers, so we absolutely must have fast, reliable internet.

I am not really interested in the cable television that comes with, but it's bundled in all of the packages. We "cut the cable"years ago when our boys were little and learning to read, and never looked back. In fact, whenever I channel-surf at friends' houses or when we travel, it seems 99% of what's on is just crap. But again, if it comes with the package, it might come in handy for the rare moments when we have time to be bored.

So for anyU-Verse subscribers, what are your experiences, good, bad, or indifferent? TIA for any thoughts. Aaron/SHD
