Ok, since we are on computers lets try to fix my bluescreen, aka Stop ERROR.
I had a Dell something or other and run Win XP Home.
I have been getting a driver stop error only when the computer is in standby mode.
The message is DRIVER__IRLQ__NOT__EQUAL__TO __OR__LESS__THAN
I haven't installed any new software or hardware or drivers for around 2 years.
I have a pretty fair knowledge of computers so I can probably answer most questions/follow instructions.
I want to fix this before I end up like Josh Earl !!

Hey GW,
How long have you been getting the error, can you try the system restore to go back to a restore point before the error started?
Just a thought..
Will it boot in safe mode?Last edited by Padron; 05-26-2007 at 08:04 PM.

Does the BSOD give any indication which driver caused the problem?
something like xxxx.sys?
the name of the driver is basically the only thing that can give you a clue without analyzing the memory dump.
The error code itself is very generic an can be caused by a lot of problems.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Worst case scenario, back up your data and reinstall the OS. If that doesn't fix the problem, it could be that your ram/cpu/something on the mobo is fried. If you have some extra ram lying around, run it instead of what you have and see if that'll do it. That's the cheap solution.

Thanked: 1This sounds possibly like a device driver needs to be either updated or removed/reinstalled. If you can't identify any xxx.sys as Bruno says, perhaps you could take a picture of the screen and post it here for us to look at. I did that with one of my coworkers and identified it as her Sony digital camera.
The error message doesn't sound like a RAM issue as much as a driver issue in this case.
