Its the sound of the hammer, anvil and stapes working together. Little workshop in my head. External Auditory Meatus .
Therapist dude says "document frequency and correlate with your stress levels, does increase stressors and hum coincide?"

Oh the radio, I hear the radio that is not quite distinguishable as to what it actually is because it is too quiet, and does not actually exist. Fortunately not that often, it is super annoying.

FWW!
I have noticed the hum for a few years.
I live across the street from an electrical power dam. The shaking is especially dependent on ground water amounts. The house will shake my bed during the common hours stated above...much like having a large diesel truck idling in the driveway. ! removed a retaining wall and that was when the physical vibrations began...or I became more aware of them. It was bad enough one late evening that my guests said WTF is that. Funny thing is..when the water is so high that it comes over the top of the dam there is no problem regardless of the greater noise. White noise??
Could also be that part of the problem is the turbines getting out of sync. Like the sound of the engines on an old WWII DC-3.

The voices in my head head usually drown it out.............
But seriously I heard read about this in various parts of the country, very strange
I hear the hum, it is not a monotone, but contains random rumbles.
Why do I only hear it at night?
I'm scared
I was woken this morning by a strange noise. Like a series of bubbles exploding in my ears.
Took a while to find it but it was the sliding mirror on the bathroom cupboard, vibrating. I closed it & it stopped. I hope the under house plumbing is not playing up again. :(
