I need some help with RAD!.

o.k. I went a LITTLE bit overboard buying razors et al. last month so I am NOT buying any razors for the next 2 months. So give me a some encouragement guys. I think I bought twice as many razors last month than I have in the previous 2 months combined. So I will just watch and see if any get sold on me or re-listed. I have seen one razor that I like but he wants too much for it. I think he has re-listed it 3 or 4 times. BUT, If I find a box for any of my razors I will buy it but it will have to be in perfect condition. No "Raggetity Anns".

Maybe you do some things to take your mind off new acquisitions. You could go through all the razors you have and get them all shave ready, perform any maintenance that needs done like neatsfoot oil on scales, cleaning, adjusting, etc. Polish any scales that need it. Get the ones you have in tip top shape. Maybe take some time to enjoy the ones you have, research and document the history, take photos and make files on your computer about each one, get them organized, etc. Or you could just switch to HAD for a while.

The "Perfect Box" for razors, holds dozens of them, along with some other stuff, and a few nice hones as well.

You have to watch stuff like buying boxes if you're a haddict. For example, I had 25 pipes and bought a pipe rack that holds 36. Bad mistake. Had to fill it up, and ended up with a couple of extra pipes. So a rack that held 24 was next. I don't need to tell you the how it went from there ........... :gaah:

Your right Xiaotuzi, I do have a bunch of brass collars and washers I bought off the Bay to restore razors. I plan on going through them and see how many will need a re-pinning or a new handle (I have a couple of spares). I'll also get the hones out and see how many need to have an shave ready edge to. I do have to let some hair grow back on my legs for "testing".

I find these to be handy for razors. They take longer to fill.

Don't go on any auction sites etc, or to any antique shops/markets.

I've said this many times. There is no Hope for those of us who have fallen down this rabbit hole. It's the allure of the next find or the next shave with said find. It's the attraction of what is around the corner. And yes most important of all it's the fellowship of new friends . The ones we meet and those we never shall. I just bought a new truck so I don't have any disposable income. It has solved the RAD issue for a while
