Mine's my name. Its rare in itself, let alone amongst the wetshavers. I like using my real name, that way it's more personal.... it's also cute listening to people from all over the world try to pronounce it, or make any sense of the spelling.
Tintin, a Belgian cartoon character. Read some imported comic books in high school and there was a movie made a couple years ago that i went to see with my son. Looks like he might use a straight razor because of his clean shaven face. Being new to forums i couldn't think of anything else. wish i would have used a form of my real name now.
Hey pretty cool! That's surely one of the interpretations, but not really "slave"... "servant" rather, because it can also mean "guardian", "keeper", or "chaperone".
Being an authentic Serbo-Croatian name, there's of course more about the origin tying it to the region, but basically that's it.
Big props to you and my fellow Sergios-es, Sergio-s, Sergej-s, Serge-s and Sergiu-s [emoji6]
Beaubowhunter, I love to bow hunt and I have used it as a forum name for a long time now. I'm just new to SRS and SRS.

A zugbug is a fishing fly, since I've always had good luck with those, I hoped that luck would transfer into straights.
Mine was given to me in high school.
I didnt conform to the times of change like everyone else.

I just started using the net last year, and this forum this year, with the help of some of the members here.

Both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Architecture. My avatar:
The razor is a Classic Shaving original Cobra model. The handle in this razor exhibits 'entasis' so it was a natural for me to use in the composition of my avatar's name. I have no affiliation with Classic Shaving, but do own both models of the Cobra.
McBladescar = Mike's blade scar
It's in reference to the scar that is now fading from a drunken attempt at shaving with a new razor I couldn't wait to try out :)
It's a play on my last name.
Why is your Username/Nickname what it is?
Some of us have nicknames that we use as usernames or have goofy usernames the we just made up. Some of
us use variations of our proper names. I'm betting that I am not the only one interested in knowing your story.
Here's your chance to let us know the history behind your moniker.
Panama60 breaks down to Panama and '60. The '60 is either my birth year, my age or my I.Q., all 3 can apply, lol.
My brother and I relaxing in the shade. That's me in the hat.

Summer of '75, I was 15 and a rebelious teenager. Bonfires and underage drinking were the usual routine for
Saturday nights. This particular bonfire bash took place in the primitive campsites at a local lake. Jesse, the older
brother of one of my best friends was in attendance and made a game of calling me "Red" through the night. Jesse
knew I didn't like being called "Red". Every so often, I would hear "Hey Red, get me a beer!". I would hand Jesse a
beer and tell him my name wasn't "Red". This went on for some time, until I had had enough of it. Then I heard it
again, "Hey Red, get me a beer!". Now, Jesse and I knew each other from school, but what's more is that we had
been paired against each other in some wrestling matches. I knew Jesse was quick and I knew exactly what I was
about to get into when I snapped. I reached into the cooler, grabbed an ice cold can of America's finest swill and
threw the full beer at Jesse just as hard as I could while saying "Name's not Red!". Jesse was on me in the blink
of an eye. My memory is that we went the full 3 minutes, but what I was told later is that Jesse had me pinned and
eating dirt in less than 30 seconds. I tapped out, Jesse helped me up and as he was dusting me off, everyone heard
him say "Okay, okay, I'll never call you Red again, .....Panama".
Why "Panama"? A popular song at that time was "Panama Red" by the New Riders of the Purple Sage. To this day, I
am still called "Panama" some 41 years later.
Disclaimer: I do not advocate underage drinking. I do not advocate bullying. I do not advocate violence.
Mine is just my initials and the year i was born. So boring. I really wish id went with RazorNinjaFlyGuy5000.

This topic has been around for a while.
Essentially it is an old nickname. A ReDog is a canine of nonspecific, indiscriminate breed that roam loose on most of the reservations, and kept as pets by the first nations people. It is also a term used for non native people who live on or hang around on the reservations. The avatar is my old rezdog.
I have never been very imaginative when it comes to user names. On a Linux forum I use the moniker, 'Cool-User-Name' as a sort of mockery of the concept. Anyway ...... my given name is Jimmy, my surname begins with an H, and I have had a problem with ADs.
Originally my forum name was Slant_Fan because of my then heavy collecting of twisted head razors, but I requested the change when I got into straight razors, and heavy into a variety of ADs too numerous to detail. :beer2:
Got tagged with the moniker "Wilbur" by two guys I met on a trip to Ottawa back in the 70's. My brother decided that "Wilbur" was not satisfactory and chose to switch to using "Orville". Neither really "took" among friends, but what the heck . . . it provided fodder for this post.
Jimmy-As you frequently mention that you are a recovering HAD sufferer, I figured HAD just meant Hone Acquisition Disorder. If I remember the legend correctly as told to me as a little tike on grandpappy's knee, back in the mists of time on SRP (early aughts?), you bought and used basically every hone ever mined from underground or made in a hone factory. Then you sold them all off, literally flooded the market with millions of them, and now hone on a really well-lapped cinder-block. ;)
Now for my username: Scout=scout leader for 9 years; hiker=love to hike and the outdoors in general; Dad=father of two now-grown sons.

Mine is what Donald Trump called me the last time I told him no more loans and he was a crook.
Whizbang was a small caliber high-velocity shell used in WW1...whizbang was the sound it made. I also find WW1 one of the most fascinating periods in world history. Whizbang can also mean "a resounding success". You can call me "Whiz" for short.
On some of the other shaving forums I am known as Rusty Blade. I think that one is fairly obvious in terms of its relevance to wet shaving and SRs in particular. I couldn't use Rusty Blade on this forum because someone already used that name.
LZ6 was my radio call sign while serving as a U.S. Army Pathfinder during the vietnam war. The sign was landing zone 6 or the Pathfinder in charge of the landing zone. In the nam Pathfinder's frequently controlled all air traffic in and out of landing zones or pick up zones.
Phil is my first name and 129 is my badge number. Figured it was simple enough for me to remember

Aces and Eights is the name of my retail firearms and gunsmith shop.
(Aces and Eights is also known as 'The dead mans hand', in the poker world, because that was the cards held by Wild Bill Hickok when he was shot and killed by Jack McCall in Deadwood, SD. Wild bill was born in Illinois, which is where I hail from)
Mine is where I used to work when I joined, along with my clock number. I no longer work there but I am happy enough with the user name.
Red= Cincinnati Reds
Cane= Miami Hurricanes
My usernames came out of sheer desperation with the process of continual denials... Throughout the late 80' and early 90's, inevitably I would use/attempt to use a variety of variations of my Name/Birth Sign/ Etc and after multiple, "That Username Is Taken", warnings I would end up with:
"ShawnSagittarius68007" or something similarly frustrating.
And, one day the frustrstion got so big that out of desperation I tried spelling stuff backward and it worked like a charm and I became:
Yugemos (Some Guy)
Emanym Ton (Not My Name)
My email "mudRphuqR" (Phonetics rock...) still gets almost no Spam after well over a decade!! :)
So, it was about after nearly a year of Lurking on this Site I was in a high state of excitement as I was attempting Joining/Registering and somehow the Captcha was just doing its' job too well... I entered the Word, Listened to the Word and was about ready to start my own Church Of The Word after failing so many times... Turns out I was falling into Drone Mentality from 9th grade Typing Class and simply typing in every character I saw... Once I quit typing in the Quotation Marks (DOH!!) at the beginning and end it went through fine. :( Thus:
Prahston (Not Sharp... I was going for the Mental version but the irony was funny as well...) was born!! :)
I am kind of famous for my no Mayo. slaw & one of my friends started calling me the"Slawman"!
Johntoad57 - John is my first name, toad was my call sign given to me by the Squadron Commander while I was in the military, and 57 was my age when I retired.

Cincinnatus is the name of the Roman General. This is from the Society of Cincinnati:
"...the ancient Roman hero Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus, a hero of the Roman Republic. In the fifth century BC, the Roman Senate called on Cincinnatus to lead the army of the republic against foreign invaders and granted him dictatorial powers to deal with the crisis facing Rome. After leading the army to victory, he resigned his commission, returned power to the Senate, and retired to his farm, refusing rewards for serving the republic. For the classical world, Cincinnatus was the embodiment of civic virtue—characterized by a willingness to sacrifice private interest and private gain for the good of the public.
Cincinnatus and the characteristics he demonstrated—humility, unselfish personal sacrifice, commitment to the public welfare, and the subordination of the military to civilian rule—were admired and emulated by the leaders of the American Revolution. They believed that these characteristics were essential to the survival of republican government. George Washington, who refused to accept a salary for leading the Continental Army and conducted himself with humility and in strict subordination to the will of Congress, was widely celebrated as an American Cincinnatus. The founders of the Society referred to themselves as "Cincinnati"—a plural form of the name Cincinnatus—to indicate their commitment to the virtues of the Roman hero."
