This may not be the right place for this but here goes.

When I shave I prep the same every time. I wash the old mug then lather up good. I use a hot wet towel and wrap my face in it then re lather. I shave with, then against, then some time across the grain. The razor is sharp. Very sharp. It seems while I'm shaving I always feel stubble. or I should say I feel a little beard sticking up. Now I always use alcohol then a skin conditioner. All the time feeling a little beard sticking up. Now when the face is completely dry and after about 10 minutes the face is smooth. Now does anyone else have this experience or is it just me. .

I believe that when your face drys, it tightens, then maybe you don't feel the stubble as much. I feel more stubble when my face is wet after the shave, on the last pass with water only. Then my face drys later & it feels smoother.

Maybe that is from the Pinaud Pucker.

Well yes. I do not follow the same routine as you do but when I am shaving I can find whiskers vert close to the skin, but a little bit after my face is super smooth.
Also, I like you. I think you are a gentleman.
