Based in the following timeline if related I'd guess an earlier member of the family maybe father or grand father. Marx died in 1883. Engelswerk C.W. Engels, Foche manufactured straight razors from 1892 – 1943, in Solingen, Germany. The F.W. Engels company was in business between 1909 and 1943.
Very interesting. Makes we want to dig into who Freidrich Engles was. Amuses me a bit that according to that quote Engles was the "son" of a wealthy factory owner. It would be surprising to me if a wealthy factor owner himself bankrolled Marx....
