Treefrogs here in Florida
Attachment 311414
Edit: BTW, that's a Cuban treefrog which is an invasive species.
Back in '70 I was a Junior in High School and our family hosted two Japanese Boys. Hedio and Kenji.
An older friend my my father's owned over 20 thousand acres of mountain land and a nice stream ran through it. So we took the guys fishing. They couldn't hardly catch a rock so I would hook a rainbow trout and they would land it. God Damn did they have fun.
Well after fishing we were at the cabin and Kenji found a very small green tree frog and when he showed it to Hedio--Hedio freaked and ran from it so Kenji cupped his hands around the frog and chased him saying 'hop, hop hop'.
When Hedio wasn't looking Kenji ditched the frog and kept chasing him with just empty cupped hands.
Damn was that funny!
Thanks for bringing back some great memories. :bow
ps; My paternal grandfather was a retired Washington State Game Protector but he did work part time during bird hunting, deer hunting and trout season a bit. Boy was he torqued off when he found out we didn't bother getting the guys an out of state fishing licenses! :rofl2:
Today in Florida they could hunt ferel pigs WITHOUT a license.
