I can sympathize. It looks not so bad in the picture I posted just previous (right after yours) but if you look closely you can see the line where my finger was split in half from the tip to just past the first joint. One moment can change your life forever.
I should archive these last few posts so I can show them to the idiots at a campsite I visit who kept shooting lighter fluid into a campfire to get it going larger. My wife and cringed, put the dogs on a short leash and moved back several steps each time they did it.
They wouldn’t listen to our warnings because as older folks, I guess we had little credibility. They were lucky nothing bad happened. I just hope they didn’t get overly confident and will try it again. Their odds diminish with repeated stupid acts.
