Careful, Tim. Only cook in small batches...or you might drown.
Hey...nothing better than staring down a hole, for awhile.

I hope you are staying warm!
Looks similar to my yard.
I was wondering how long it typically takes from the sticking of the snow until freeze over there.
The less snow the quicker the freeze.
The snow is actually an insulator.

That florescent bulb looks a little out of place.
Shhh the baby is having her winter nap.
Hope you checked the anti-freeze, Roy! :D
I have found that most guys do not like to ride colder than their age...... 'F that is!
I was born in August and I've always preferred to Sweat Than Freeze! I Hate Winter!
I figure it'll only be a few more years and when people walk into the Boars Nest in the winter they will find I've got the thermostat set at 90 deg F and I'm wearing a sweater. :banghead:
If you don't believe me about my not minding the heat---just ask Tc about it. :rofl2:
3-6 inches due Thursday night

640 gallons per minute!
It took me 4 minutes to load my trailer with 8500 gallons of gas. Think about How long does it take you to fill your car.
Gasman I thought of you today when I had to pass a fuel hauler on the 3 lane freeway and he wouldn''t or couldn't stay in his middle lane.
It took me 5 miles or so until I roared past him and still wasn't comfortable doing it but figured I was safer in front of him.
Not only four wheelers can be idiots!:(
John, do you realize thats normal for me. Life at work is that way at ALL times. From thinking about how much heat the fuel is gaining being forced that hard thru a 4 inch pipe or driving on snow and ice at night with drunks on the road to unloading and smelling smeone having a smoke because they dont want to do it in there car. Its the life of a Gasman.
And your right about bad truck drivers. I see them every day too. Most the time what i find is that its some guy that went to truck driving school and now thinks hes a driver. Nope. He is a stearing wheel holder. There was no school to go to when i learned to drive. The sad part is that the company i now work for will hire drivers right out of school to haul gas. Stupid move n my mind but i dont write the checks.
BTW, the standard flow of fuel thru a 4 inch hose is 300 to 350 gpm. I dont know why they turned it up at the loading facility but im not going to complain. I had 4 hoses going at once.

Actually i like your pic but id hate to have to breath that air.
Wore a mask yesterday when I was working in the yard; still hacking. Sucks.
This is closer to the actual color:

I was trying to capture the proper colors but I struggle with this camera. Should have just used my old iphone.
Understand. But the rest of the country is penalized for what happens in that state, alone. By EPA standards.
:OT. I'm done
I know what your saying. Its nothing to do with the fires going on. Everything is judged by California EPA standards now.
The fires are horrible and the smoke from them will actually soon be reaching you Mike.
And yes, the EPA does follow California. They have the highest and most restrictive standards for Environmental Requirements. But be honest, if some of these plants and producers didn't have to answer to these restrictions, we'd all be in bad shape.
Thanks for the picture, both of them :tu
Sure hope the fires don't get too close to you and you and yours stay safe. Watch how much of that smoke you breath!!
Uploaded from my ipad. Don’t know why it gets rotated here.:banghead:

I don't know about Ipads, but with my Android phones I have to take the pic holding the camera a certain way or it will be wrong when posted. Unless you use a software to adjust it.

Looks a little sloppy at the library today Richard.
Dry and a couple degrees of frost. A bit of overnight snow that capped the ice made a pretty view.
It is suppose to get around 40'F at the end of the week.
That will make a greasy mess!
We've already got that mess here now...............Harvest is draggin to say it nicely
I couldn't find old phone the pics so I found this one online.
Hard to find pics that really take you there, and the feeling of severity is oppressive close to these fires. Last year was crazy out there and so we moved out east.
But when we had to go out, I didn't want to expose my children to the smoke, so I took respirator cartridges and attached them to a bucket as a manifold which was in turn was attached to a 12v blower fan. So when you drive you can purify the air inside the vehicle for your family.
Real bad stuff in the air from houses/businesses burned.
A dust mask is woefully inadequate with that kind of smoke..
Good luck to anyone still living in fire zones..
