His name is Riot, he's my 4...well almost 5 year olds pup. He named him, and he's a great little hellion :roflmao
Many years ago a man by the name of Bob moved to where I grew up from Tennessee and he had (and still does) a very heavy southern accent. He lived not far out of town and he was friends with my dad. One day Bob was out in his road and dad pulled over to shoot the bull with Bob and they passed a bottle back and forth and even I was allowed a sip or two.
Dad asked Bob how things were going and Bob started telling dad about his trouble house breaking this new pup he had. Bob said---
"I keep put'n payypers down but that little critter, he still piddles on the flur".

You guys can have it. I'll keep dealing with the rain and ice
Were dealing with a lot of power outages, after yesterday's blow.
60° all night to thaw the ground, add some rain, then mix in 30-40 mph sustained winds, with gusts up to 60 mph.
Doesn't take much to phathom what was going to happen. Keep my 800watt generator ready all the time.
We were lucky, that storm slid just south and east of us. East of us they closed the only 2 main east/west highways in our are of Ontario last nigh due to a winter storm. The Trans Canada was closed for a 116mi/185km stretch and the alternate Hwy 11 was closed for a 372mi/600km stretch. Not been a good winter for storms.

I would guess that every kid in the world with access to oranges or similar did the same. Thanks for the memories. . . I did that too!

Don't think I could trust that car port, much longer. I believe were zoned to have roof trusses set at 24", on new buildings. Us old houses, would be shoveling off our roofs, having that much snow.
I don't even have trusses, free standing, as long as it doesn't come loose from the sides of the house. :roflmao
Starting to look like the great wall of Geezer.
Good reasons to have a steep pitch on your roof and good insulation in your attic.
