Been there, done that, Dave. I liked combining at night, when possible. All the wildlife comes out to watch.

That sucks Mike. And I used to run all night. Back when I could and didn’t have two little munchkins to get home and take care of. I used to love running at night.

Following the rows at night would be pretty easy. I used to hate pulling a disc or field cultivator at night--I couldn't always tell where I had already been, but the next morning my dad was sure to point out where I'd missed!Quote:

Unless its been dry. All that dust makes it near impossible to see where the disc gangs are in relation to the last pass. Plowing is another story. :nj

When I quit farming, the boss could sit in the house 20 miles away, and knew where I was in each field, in what direction I was moving, how fast, and the yield of bushels per acre he was getting from each field I combined. That was 20 some years ago.!Quote:
