Pet Peeves?

Lets turn this 3 lane parking lot of Hwy 36 into a 2 lane parking lot that extends out into the 35W parking lot. As a general rule most drivers I find are courteous in my daily commute. The ones that yell the most and say everyone else is number one are the ones in the middle lane that want to leave at least a 10 second interval at 10 mph and complain when someone moves over in front of them 10 times in a mile.

I find that rush hour is easier to drive in many respects. The worst times are weekends when Ma and Pa Kettle come to town for their annual shopping trip and don't know where they are going.

All im going to say is behind the trucks everyone is going the same speed and when everyone comes to the merge point the zipper affect happens. Its safer and goes much smoother. Less stop and go and less peoplecutting others off. Everyone has there own opinions. I just know with all the miles i driver every day and things ive seen over the last 35+ years of driving trucks, thefe are always going to be idiots and we cant do nothing about it.

When someone tells me im #1 with a hand signal, i just smile and wave.

Another pet peeve i have is people that think a parking lot is a race track. Parked cars and people walking every where but they think its ok to driver 20+ mph in the parking lot.

Ill hold my tongue now and step back. Or as said on the radio, " waving a hand and checking the mail".

All I'm going to say is; the zipper affects more lives than just the man wearing it. When not in its proper place, closed, it has lead to divorce & substantial loss of income. :beer2:

I dislike it very much if someone doesn't tell you that your zipper is open.

Today I walked up to my lead person and commented that he must have leaned onto a freshly painted wall.

He said thank you. It was this morning and no one mentioned it to him all day.......

Another driving peeve:
The people that speed down an onramp at 80 mph and then slam on brakes, slow to 35 mph and merge onto the highway moving at 65 mph.

Yeah, I'll never forget seeing an item at the car wash display rack that just made me shake my head. It was called a "Car Phoney," and was literally a fake cell phone like the kind they had back then (late 90's maybe?).

As a teacher of high school students, I can't tell you how much trouble we have with cell phones. I even have what I call a "cell-pone corral" beside my desk for repeat offenders. They put it in until the end of class.

Laziness at the expense of others, and the overuse of the word "like" in every sentence from the youth of this generation.

Pardon the pun! Haha! And to elaborate "laziness", I'm talking about leaving 1 square of toilet paper on the roll, or parking in front of my driveway because you can't walk an extra 30 feet. ;)
