When I ship a razor I always ship USPS priority mail. That means a hard box. I also wrap in bubble wrap if there's no coffin if there a coffin i still fill the box so it doesn't rattle around. If the box was destroyed the buyer should have sent a photo of the box as well as the razor. All this leaves me to think what I do about the problem. I'll know in a few days which way to go.Quote:

Well it didn't take pay pal long to decide. When the buyer sends the razor back to me and provides them a tracking no. they will give the buyer the refund. Just about what I thought would happen. The scales are bone I think. I do know they were pretty. I've got a couple of re-placement scales that might fit not pretty but usable.
All that said I need to say this. I do love this forum. It gave me a place to vent which I needed. Thanks guys. :beer1:
Could the break be repaired, or is there too much pressure on that spot? It is looks like such a clean break and the scales are really nice.
You can glue anything but it's till broken. Yes the scales were very nice. When I got the razor I removed both pins and cleaned and polished the blade any rust there was removed and the razor was re-assembled. Now that was at least 1 1/2 years ago or more. I honed the razor and shaved with it a few times. It opened and closed good and centered nicely. When and If I get it back I may re-scale it with bone. I have a set of ivory scales that if they fit I may put on the blade. Or I may just let the blade go as is. I'm kind of sick about this . But now I'm beating a dead mule. :deadhorse: O and about the pressure at that spot. There wasn't any. It's my opinion that either the razor was closed to tight or it was dropped and landed wrong.
