My Dad was a commercial artist and sign painter just like his Dad. He was stationed on Guam with the 20 Bomber Command during WW2. He was the editor of "The Bomb Rack" a military "moral" publication for the entire Army Air Force in the Pacific theatre. He also designed and painted-nose art, along with others under his supervision. He operated a commercial art and sign shop in downtown Ft.Worth for nearly 30 years.
He was a quiet man with an outrageous sense of humor. I've got a lump in my throat, I miss him terribly. Happy Father's day Pop!
