You are lucky, should be an easy night then. :D
Bob
Yep
We usually have about 60 some come through. I am expecting 30 at most.
Some towns have cancelled tonight and rescheduled for Saturday.
Only bad thing is I will have to shovel the walk
Wow Dave...looks more like Christmas
Pete <:-}

And its headed my way...!!!
Central Wis.
Missed us . . . but, it's not November yet !!
~geezer
Wow, do you want one of us Canucks to come down and show you how to make an igloo :rofl2:
Steve
Halloween cancelled here
7 inches of snow Most snow on Halloween since 1926.
Don't eat all the extra candy in one night!
Were you living here in 89 or so when we got 18 inches?
I see that was 91.
Over 28 inches by the time it was done.
Never had a Halloween cancelled when I was growing up. You just put your snowsuit on under your costume, slapped on your mukluks and got on with it. :D What is the matter with this modern generation anyway as my Dad used to say. :D
Bob
I agree with Bob. Growing up in Saskatchewan, Halloween was never cancelled, even if it was a blizzard. There’s rain in my area of Quebec, so all the towns (and even Montreal) have postponed it until tomorrow.

No snow here in Walla Walla and in fact I can't ever remember ever having snow on Halloween.
I usually don't get a lot of trick or treaters but the little ones start around 4 pm and the big kids start showing up around 8 pm so once those start that's when I shut off the porch light.
NOW my best friend who live in El Cajon (20 miles outside of San Diego) gets over 400 kids. He says that his wife buys bag after bag at WalMart and when it's gone then they turn out the lights.
I think it might be less expensive to plan on going out for the late afternoon and evening for dancing and dining.

It's in the 20s outside and the kids keep coming. I got to go to bed by 8 pm for work in the morning so I will be pulling the batteries out of the doorbell. When I bought that doorbell the wife didn't understand why. Now she knows!
Happy Halloween my friends.
High, dry and in the 80s here. Enjoy it if that's your thing I guess but I'll take 80s.
Happy Reformation Day everyone.

Earlier in the night. We shut it down with 4 pieces left. I ate a couple and we started with 160 or so...Attachment 312741
7:00 PM And I just had my first Trick or Treater's---Two Teenagers.
My how the neighborhood has changed. I used to get around 30-40 and mostly little ones.
I like the colder weather here. This year we got very many more smaller children that I recognize from the immediate area. At least a larger percentage.
With our Halloween now on Saturday, we are buying more candy.
A poor turn out here as well, maybe a dozen kids.
We live on an older street, but usually get a fair bit from the farms come into the area by minivan. Not this year.
More for my own lad who still loves his sour candies..
Me, I liked the chips, and the molasses candy in the wax wrappers. Traded my chocolates to my sisters for those,, hehe. Hard, filling pulling taffy that was so good...
Hope you all had a safe night, or do on the weekend.
Cancel halloween, horsehockey I say!!
:beer1:
Super windy, and super pissy, not one kid....mind you, where we are, we've never had a great turnout....3 boxes of unopened chocolate...taking the Variety Village where I work out, to get it out of the house. Kids there should love it....
HEY!!! What the hell? Thanks for sending me that God forsaken cold guys. Cold to me is anything below 80°
Attachment 312746
No worries, we like to share.
I appreciate that. Well, it's all right. By Monday it'll be 80° again. Probably stay that way through most of November with the occasional cool day or two and sometimes into December. January and February is really when we get cold weather. Then by mid April it will be back to 90° again.
We're having a heat wave! :w

Well, you know what they say. Everybody talks about the weather but nobody ever does anything about it.
Talking about the weather is all you can do about it.

Hey Paul
19f here this morning.
Sorry you missed it
Snow on the windshield and bridges here this morning. Little enough that the wipers removed it but when I looked for my brush/scraper that I thought was in the truck already I couldn't find it.
Better get it in there before I need it!
Getting ready for Round 2 Halloween 2019
Temp in high 30s.
Expecting a good turnout on a Saturday night.
What a major disappointment
31 kids
Oh, well
The only candy I got was when Bonnie turned her back.
The remaining candy is now hidden. She did leave me some Sweeties.
Sweeties are Geezers favorite treat. He snatched all he could!
One of the anchors on CBC national news said he got 1000 kids for Halloween and someone else he knew said they had 1400 kids call. I can't believe the numbers. Where do all these rug rats come from? Definitely not moving to Vancouver BC.
Bob
I cannot imagine giving out that much candy. I will take my 31 and be happy.
1000? That is insane.
Attachment 312851
I talked with my best friend the other day and they had over 1000 kids and they were more still lined up down the block when they turned the lights off at 8:30.
About your 31 kids--I had 6. I actually enjoy seeing the kids in costumes, especially the non store bought ones.
