It could work in a good way. Too much supply for the demand lowers the price.
The big question is will it be legal ivory?

At least saving the Mammoths from extinction probably would not be a reason to ban it's sale.

I think mammoth ivory is now legal precisely because the extinction is already done with. But if the trade with it leads to some other new problems it's fully possible to be made illegal.

Well I seem to recall having read somewhere that since it blurs the lines with live elephant ivory on the market, that could happen sooner than later
Beautiful is important, but when all is said and done, you will always be faithful to a good shaver while a bad one may detter you from ever trying again. Judge with your skin, not your eyes.

A simple hand lens will tell the difference. I doubt it will be banned.
