Farm egg on the right. Surprised its not a double yolk.
Yea, I think the farm egg is on the right. I believe the colour of the yolk depends on what the hens have been eating.
Bob
I don't know but my question is why buy eggs when you got chickens on the payroll?:rofl2:
I think he's pulling our legs. That's probably all plastic.
I vote for the one on the right too. Gave some farm fresh eggs to a friend once and she was grossed out by how orange they were. I think she ended up throwing them away. I on the other hand am grossed out by eggs that are pale yellow.
If your going to buy store bought eggs, might as well be brown eggs. They have a richer flavor, and offer a better chance of having double yolks.
Actually, no it's not but it's also not exactly their bum. Chickens have a cloaca just like a lizard or a snake. A cloaca is a multi-purpose orifice and yes they poop and lay eggs out of the same one.
When I was a kid we raised chickens and guineas. Guinness have a much smaller egg but it has a much richer flavor to it. We had some white and some brown egg laying chickens. We also had some little bantams which laid what we called Easter eggs because they were shades of blue and green. I have had people tell me that they could tell the difference between white eggs and brown eggs but I don't believe they can. At least I never could. One egg on the plate next to the other is indistinguishable from a white or brown egg standpoint.
Since we had so many laying birds we ate eggs a lot. One evening we had guinea eggs for dinner and it was more than we could eat so my mother gave some to the cats who lived just outside the sliding door. The guineas ran up, chased the cats away and were eating guinea eggs. I think my brain exploded a little from that. That is just wrong and so many kinds of ways.
Well that train derailed, we went from is the one on the right the fresh egg to anatomy lesson on a chickens southbound end, I’m telling ya, some of y’all need to get a life
We don't have lives. We spend 90% of our time.talking about an activity that most of us don't even do everyday. :beer1:
I’ve raised a few Guinness’s myself!
Oh I stand corrected.
Must admit I never looked that closely..
Not sure if I will ever eat eggs again..
