What makes you unique?

In one of my ponderances whilst shaving the other day I just started to wonder about this. So I put the question to you all; what makes you different from everyone else?

Let me give you two examples of things that I think are interesting things about me.

1) I am related to Ian Fleming, the author of the James Bond series of stories. My gran's maiden name was Fleming and its through her that I am related to him :)

2) I have a third nipple. Its strange granted, but its not big. Its just quirky and makes me unique.

So come on, you get the idea. 'Fess up- what makes you unique?

You know Sandy - my wife has a third nipple too - she would kill me if she knew I was writing this... I call her 'Scara minger' sometimes as a term of endearment.

Superficially I look like the standard northern European type (even though I was born/grew up in southern Europe).
My family's full of interesting stories.. One of my great-grandfathers was offered a cabinet position (mining and natural resources) even though he only had grade 4 completed. Another one was offered the rank of general in 2 opposing armies during the WW2+civil war combo that was going on in ex-Yugoslavia. One of my grandfathers operated on a princess, while the other got assasinated by the commies.
On a personal level, other than a high iq, I have an incredible thirst for knowledge. In addition to what I do with razors, I picked up decent mechanical and electrical skills, am able to re-do a plumbing system, have a decent amount of knowledge about the Ontario Highway Traffic Act and the way it's applied, martial arts training, working knowledge of 3 languages and can get by in 3 more (one of which is dead). In addition to that, they often refer to me as a s***-disturber :nj

I try and convince myself I'm nothing special but I do tend to stand out in a crowd .
Before it was my waist length dyed burgundy hair
Nowadays it's probably the 20ish piercings I have ..
And to think I work in a respectable office :eek:

Left handed playing the guitar right handed is also something some people find unique ( strange ! weird LOL )

Chicks dig me because I rarely wear underwear and when I do, it's usually something unusual.

Your not that different Mr Kidney as I have a third nipple also! I also used to supply the bread to some of the Flemings steak houses in AZ. Thats kind of like being related to Ian Fleming...isn't it?;)

There's nothing really unique about me - 2 nipples, 10 fingers and 10 toes, average intelligence, average looks.

Well my great uncle (something like that) was Judge John Fournet who was right hand man to Huey P. Long -- Governor of Louisiana --- and I think was present at his assassination. Huey Long was a considerable figure in Louisiana politics and the U.S. for that matter ---- close to a dictator and some believe assassinated for that reason.

Francisco Scaramanga was the villain in the Bond movie "The Man With the Golden Gun." He had a third nipple.

As for my uniqueness;
- I don't spend nickels
- Sometime between the ages of 6 and 8 I forgot how to ride a bike
and
- I know a lot about Bond films.

North of the border it is pronounced with no second 'g'. A simple glottal stop is whats called for. 'Ming-in'. Something that is mingin is very unsavoury, disgusting repulsive.... you get the idea. Similar to scottish words such as boufin (bow-fin) and the phrase 'gie's me the boak' (geez me the boke). This phrase means 'it makes my stomache churn'.

An ugly girl can be called a 'minger', particularly in central scotland. This gives rise to an army of young teenage minger neds all sprogged up underage (see Glasgow) :roflmao:roflmao

Well if this whole third nipple thing keeps going, I'm pretty unique because I have two!:eek:

As far as relations, I'm directly related on my mom's side to U.S. Grant, the civil war general. Also, before everyone came over on the boat, a great grandfather was a prussian archduke something or other.

I'm unique in other ways that most people don't believe. I used to race BMX, then MX, now I like to fence. People typically describe me as a nerdy type person because I "know all the answers to life's computer problems" (it's 42). Of course I don't, but my clients swear I do. I'm also a pretty handy guy, comfortable in almost any shop with any tool. Anyway, people usually don't believe all that and I can't blame them- they're usually pretty boring people:roflmao

boy howdy, if I started answering this thread nobody would get nothin' else done for a solid week, including and especially ME!

Good definition of minger Sandy, as only a Scot could relate. I felt I had to add that my wife is not in fact a minger, as previously alluded to. She is a good looking woman by Scottish standards (hmm, must go to Amsterdam again sometime). I should also add that when she was pregnant the third nipple lactated! Now she really would kill me!!!

Alex ... no way :) I skate also .. even brought my skates over to Vondel Park on one of my trips to the Netherlands .. I shave with a straight also & believe it or not I work with computers ( well I deal mostly with the computer networks )

Being 35 now that gung ho attitude ( my willingness to 100% commit ) has gone .. I now worry about broken bones and injuries that'll keep me off work .
Thats why I do kiting now and if I ever get fully certified kitesurfing .. it's boring standing on the beach with all the gear and not being able to hit the water :roflmao

My grandfather on my mother's side was the famous Pat Pending, inventor of numerous useful devices. You often see his name on things. Mum used to tell us about him all the time when we were kids.

Several actually! I lost my pinky in a dough machine. I got my pinky caught in the steel rollers and ripped my hand back so it wouldn't get caught any further, well, in doing this, I left my pinky behind. My lip was from a rotweiller trying to bite my face off but all he could get hold of was my upper lip! The third nipple I have no clue!!

Can't help you with the third nipple, although I have heard a theory that those with one represent the next step on the human evolutionary ladder.
